Supervision at PBS4 supports the practitioner you are becoming.

1. Creating a safe and independent space

Unlike internal supervision that can get tangled up with performance or billing, our sessions are fully independent. No organisational agendas here. Confidentiality is respected, with clear agreements about what stays private and the very few exceptions if safety is at risk.

This makes room for honest reflection, admitting mistakes, and exploring challenges without fear of your workplace knowing every detail.

2. Supporting the realities of practice

At PBS4 the focus isn’t just on on compliance and paperwork, but on the lived demands of your role, such as:

  • Stresses you’re feeling around the work you’re being asked to do

  • Navigating conversations when expectations don’t feel right

  • Finding and using resources that support your growth and wellbeing

3. Supporting you as a practitioner

Growth goes beyond the job description. Each session creates space to:

  • Reflect on your needs and build confidence in your professional identity

  • Strengthen skills for difficult workplace conversations

  • Explore strategies for managing conflict or unmet needs

  • Set boundaries around workload, manage stress, and guard against burnout

4. Structure for your goals

The support is guided by you. Together we create a standing agenda that balances case reviews, professional development, reflective practice, career conversations, or simply having a safe ear.

There’s always space for both urgent pressures and your longer-term wellbeing.

5. Outcomes you can hold onto

You’ll leave sessions with clear notes, agreed action steps, and useful resources. Over time, this becomes a personal portfolio of growth and resilience - not just evidence for PBS capability levels, but a track record of how you’ve supported yourself as well as others.
